Eight Kashmiri students, of Mewar University in Rajasthan, were allegedly attacked on Wednesday late night by a group of local people.

It is reported, out of eight four students were hospitalized while other four suffered minor injuries.

The attacker allegedly called “stone-pelters” Kashmiri students and taunted over the recent video of a CRPF jawan being assaulted in Kashmir’s Budgam which went viral on social media last week.

The victims have lodged a FIR at Rajasthan’s Gangrar Police station and search operation has been launched for the unidentified locals.

Following the incident students from Jammu and Kashmir staged protest in the university campus on Thursday night.
