Kerala JD (U) president M P Veerendra Kumar to resign from Rajya Sabha

As per the recent reports, Kerala JD (U) president M P Veerendra Kumar reportedly announced his resignation from the Rajya Sabha.

It was reported that the MP Veerendra Kumar wish he did not want to continue as a Member of Parliament of the party which is allegedly led by the  Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

While interacting with the media, Veerendra Kumar said,“I do not want to continue as MP since the party at the national level led by president and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has become part of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)”.

It was believed that the Kerala JD (U) president M P Veerendra Kumar was elected to the Rajya Sabha in March 2016.

Veerendra Kumar told the reporters, “I have taken a decision to resign from Rajya Sabha I do not wish to continue as RS member under Mr. Nitish Kumar who joined Sangh Parivar”.

It was learned that M P Veerendra Kumar was maintaining a distance from the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after they joined their hands with NDA.

When asked about his further plans, he said in a statement, “First we will discuss party’s future in the state committee and decide further course of action”.
