Khalistan Liberation Force Chief Harminder Singh Mintoo who had escaped from Nabha central jail in Punjab was arrested from Delhi railway station in a joint operation Punjab police and the special crime branch of Delhi on Monday.
“Mintoo has been arrested from Delhi railway station by Delhi police,” said a senior spokesperson of Punjab police in Chandigarh.
Mintoo along with five others terrorists had escaped from the jail after a group of 12 armed men raided the jail. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal suspended top jail officials and formed a Special task force team to investigate the jailbreak.
Currently Mintoo is being questioned at a special cell office in New Friends Colony, Delhi. He was arrested by Punjab police in 2014, when he came back from Thailand. He is also said to be linked with Pakistan ISI and he is also accused of numbers of criminal cases.
