Education Minister of Satna district of Madhya Pradesh wants students to answer the roll call by saying “Jai Hind” instead of “yes, sir/ma’am” from October 1.

Vijay Shah, the Education Minister said in a statement, “We hope they will adhere to it since it relates to patriotism”.

Minister told the media that for now, it was a just a suggestion for the school to follow.

“Will take permission from CM if experiment turns successful, and would like to implement it in entire MP”, Shah said.

While explaining the reason Minister told the agencies, I have a military background; my grandfathers have been in the Army. And whenever they come to meet, they always say ‘Jai Hind’ which I think is a way of respecting your nation, and the feeling of love for your country is shown through his gesture”.

Shah told if the experiment would be successful then the implementation will be made in the state.

If it turns out to be successful then after the Chief Minister’s agreement, he would implement the order all over the Madhya Pradesh public school or a private school.

However, the minister will hold a meeting of teachers, principals, Jan Shikshaks and block resource coordinators in Chitrakoot.
