A 26-year-old has been arrested by the Delhi Police after throwing acid on a man and his two daughters, the incident happened as accused was stopped by the man to consume alcohol near his residence in West Delhi’s Khyala area on Sunday.
The victims were rushed to the Sehgal Neo Hospital at Paschim Vihar where they were reported with 10-30 per cent burn injuries from the chemical.
The police have arrested the accused who is identified as Rago Mukhiya (26) who hails from Bihar was caught held by the police from his rented house in Khayla village.
In a statement Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said, “Mukhiya misbehaved and manhandled Deepak. When some neighbors rushed to the spot, he ran away. Deepak and his daughters again got busy in getting ready. Within 15 minutes, Mukhiya again came and threw some chemical on Deepak and his daughters and fled,”
However, during an investigation, police found that the accused is a labourer and Mukhiya told the police that he bought the chemical from the steel and nickel buffing factory.
