Manish Sisodia files RTI against Modi’s social media campaign

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia attacks on modi by filling an RTI application, seeking the details related to Centre’s social media campaigns like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’.

In a statement, Sisodia said, “I want to know what process Centre govt follows in advertising its campaigns like ‘Make in India’, ‘Narendra Modi App’, ‘Start Up India’ and ‘Digital India’. Whose credit limit has been used in putting up these advertisements? Because, when we connect with people it is dubbed corruption but when Modiji does Mann Ki Baat it’s projected as patriotism”.

In his recent interaction with the media Sisodia said, “If Modiji has CBI, we have RTI (Right to Information)”.

Sisodia’s recent route to RTI come after the CBI registered an inquiry against him in connection with alleged irregularities of AAP government’s social media campaign “Talk to AK”.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister who currently undergoing naturopathy treatment in Bengaluru tweeted after Manish Sisodia filed an RTI request against PM Modi’s campaign, “Manish awarded contracts like the PMO did for digital campaign. Modi ji, if you’re getting Manish probed by the CBI, a CBI investigation should also be ordered into this issue “.

What is RTI?

The basic objective of the Right to Information Act (RTI) is for the people of the country to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the government. Right to Information Act 2005 came into force on 13th October 2005, which provides the machinery to ask any questions from the Government, seek any information or inspect any government documents or any Government works.
