In a shameful act, a 45-year-old sadhvi was allegedly raped inside a temple by the employees of the Radha Rani temple in Barsana, Mathura.
The incident allegedly took place on September 11 night, the police official said.
It was reported that the woman hails from Odisha.
According to the woman, she was sleeping in the balcony of the temple when a watchman and other staff of the temple forcefully took her to the secluded place and allegedly raped her.
SP Rural, Aditya Kumar Shukla said in a statement, “Two police teams have been formed to nab the accused”.
Although, the victim has been sent to the hospital for the further medical examination.
After getting scared of the incident, the woman didn’t disclose the incident to anyone. Following this, in the evening of September 13 woman went to the police to file the First Information Report (FIR) but no complaint was either filed by the police.
The woman claimed that police has not taken any action in the case and has not arrested the two accused in the same.
However, the FIR was registered on September 14 after SSP Swapnil Mamgai had a word with the victim.
