MCD Election Results 2017: BJP’s glorious win, AAP snubbed

MCD Election 2017 proves to be hattrick for Bhartiya Janta Party, as ruling party continued its legacy of victory this time too by conquering all 3 three wards of the national capital.

While its rivals, the Aam Aadmi Party is at second number and the Congress secured the third position. The polling was held in 270 out of 272 constituencies on April 23rd.

South Delhi (104):  BJP – 70, AAP – 16, Congress- 12 and Others – 6

East Delhi (63/64): BJP – 48, AAP- 10 , Congress -3 and Others – 2

North Delhi (103): BJP – 66, AAP- 20, Congress – 15 and Others – 2

Overall Result (270/272) : BJP – 184 , AAP – 46 , Congress – 30 and Others – 10

Following the triumph Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Delhi people for showing faith and appricated hardwork of his partyworkers. He tweeted “Grateful to the people of Delhi for the faith in BJP. I laud the hardwork of team which made the resounding MCD win possible”.

The outcome of MCD election results has been eventful for opposition political parties be it a blame game of AAP government over BJP victory or resignation of Delhi’s congress chief Ajay Maken.
