The noted journalist and Marathi litterateur Arun Sadhu reportedly passes away on Monday morning.
It was reported that the veteran Journalist Arun Sadhu was suffering from heart disease since long, was rushed to the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital aka Sion hospital on Sunday.
Following which he took his last breath at around 4:45 am on Monday morning.
He died at the age of 76, where he was survived by his wife Aruna, who is a renowned social worker and daughters Shefali and Suvarna.
Dr. Jayshree Mondkar, Dean-in-charge of the hospital said in a statement, “He was suffering from cardiomyopathy”.
Sources said, He was in critical condition and was put on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
He worked over four decades as a journalist in the reputed organization which include The Statesman, The Times of India, Indian Express, Free Press Journal and other Marathi publications.
He also won several awards such as Sahitya Academy award, Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad, NC Kelkar and Acharya Atre award.
It was learned that the Veteran Journalist Arun Sadhulast wish was no funeral activity should take place and his body will be donated.
