The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has said that it has sacked the employee Suhahu who was accused of tearing the Indian National Flag and throwing it into the dustbin in the company premises in Noida.
The incident occurred on Monday night when workers of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer alleged that senior staff from China tore and threw down the national flag into the dustbin in the office premises.
In an official statement Oppo India said, “Based on the recent incident and after thorough investigation with the concerned authorities, we have found that a worker discarded the India flag from the table during the regular external material check. Oppo India regrets this unfortunate incident and reaffirms that this is an individual’s behavior that in no way represents our company’s position. We have zero tolerance for such incidents and have taken strict action in terminating the individual. We continue to work very closely with the authorities on the matter”.
The company has witnessed huge protests over the action made by the Chinese official Suhahu, who is said to be the production manager in the Oppo’s company office in Noida Sector 63.
It was learned that Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has a deep respect for the Indian culture and thus, company maintain to follow the applicable laws and regulations and will not accept any misbehavior towards it.
Although, the case has been registered by the police, against the Oppo employee Suhahu, under the norms of showing disrespect to the national flag.
However, the flag was placed on the wall during the Republic Day celebration on January 26.
