PM Narendra Modi beats Obama in reader’s poll for time person of the year

After facing many obstacles in life PM Modi has beat the drum after winning the title of TIME ‘Person of the Year’ in recent reader’s poll on Monday.

As per TIME Magazine, Modi won with 18% of the votes when the survey shut down on Sunday midnight.

Narendra Modi was running ahead in the race leaves behind his other competitor which incorporates Barack Obama (7%), Donald Trump (7%), Hillary Clinton(4%), Mark Zuckerberg(2%).

TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year will be declared on December 7 and is chosen by TIME Magazine editors.

A statement by TIME Magazine said, “In recent months, Modi saw high approval ratings from Indians, according to a September Pew poll, and ratified the Paris Climate Change Agreement.”

If reports are to be believed, Last year German Chancellor Angela Merkel grab the title of Time’s ‘Person of the Year’.

This is not less than an accomplishment for the Modi who has progressed significantly in his life which has made history subsequent to being a “chai wala” to wind up distinctly a Prime Minister of a nation.

According to the reports, this is for the second time that Modi has won the online reader’s poll for the Time Person of the Year title, previously in the year 2014, Modi managed to win the title by 16 % of the vote.
