Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi dies at 72

Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi reportedly died at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.

It was reported that the former Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was in the coma since 2008 dies in New Delhi on Monday.

Apollo Hospital in a statement, “He died at 12.10 p.m. today (Monday). He had been critically ill for the past one month and unfortunately succumbed to his illness”.

Veteran Congress leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi reportedly dies at the age of 72.

It was learned that the leader was survived by his wife Deepa Dasmunsi and son Priyadeep Dasmunsi.

Reports said, Dasmunsi has suffered a brain stroke in the year 2008, where he was admitted to AIIMS. Later, he was shifted to his home.

In the year 2009, he was admitted to the Apollo hospital in Delhi.

Doctors told his family that he has suffered a complete left ventricular failure of the heart.

Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was also an MP from Raiganj in West Bengal. Following this, his wife Deepa represents the constituency.
