Rahul Gandhi took charge of party President

Rahul Gandhi has officially taken the charge of the president of Congress in front of party members on Saturday afternoon.

It was reported that the Vice-president Rahul Gandhi was appointed as the new Congress President of the country’s oldest political party.

Rahul Gandhi took the party charge from his mother Sonia Gandhi.

While attacking the opposite party, Rahul Gandhi said, “Congress took India to the 21st century, but the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) is taking us back to medieval times”.

Central Election Authority President Mullapally Ramachandran has handed over the Certificate of Election to Rahul Gandhi in a ceremony at 24, Akbar Road, which is the party headquarters.

He said, “I promise to make the Congress a grand old – and young party”.
