Rajasthan: Activist beaten to death after he objected not to take defecating photographs of women

In a barbaric incident, it was discovered that a middle age activist was beaten to death on Friday after he objected municipal council employees not to take photographs of defecating women in public.

The incident took place when officials were out on a round to take photographs of people who were defecating in the open.

The deceased was identified as Zafar Khan, a 55-year-old social worker who allegedly tried to stop the officials in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh area.

It was reported that five municipal council employees in which commissioner was also included punched, beaten and kicked the 55-year-old social worker in Pratapgarh town.

Mangi Lal Bishnoi, Pratapgarh Station House Officer said in a statement, “We have lodged a FIR under IPC Section 302 (murder) against Nagar Parishad Commissioner Ashok Jain and municipal employees Kamal Harijan, Ritesh Harijan and Manish Harijan following a complaint by the family of Zafar Hussain, 44, who died on Friday morning after an alleged assault by these government employees”.

A case of murder has been registered against the accused, but no arrest has been made till yet.
