Rajasthan: Falahari Baba arrested for raping law student

In yet another incident, a self-styled Godman Kaushlendra Prapannacharya ‘Falahari’ Maharaj of Rajasthan was allegedly arrested on Saturday, after a law student accused him of rape.

The 70-year-old Swami Kaushlendra Prapannachari Falahari Maharaj has been charged with raping a 21-year-old woman at his ashram.

It was reported that the incident took place after a  month when Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in two rape cases.

The ‘Falahari’ Baba was arrested from the hospital where he admitted.

Paras Jain, Additional Superintendent of Police, Alwar said in a statement, “In the medical tests conducted on Falahari Baba, his ECG, Sugar and Blood Pressure have found to be normal”.

It was discovered that the c recommended a woman to do the internship as a senior lawyer in New Delhi. After which the victim received a stipend of Rs 3000, following which, her parents want woman to donate the amount to the baba’s ashram in Alwar.

When the victim went there baba asked the woman to stay and allegedly raped her in his room.

Although, earlier this week the self-proclaimed Godman was admitted to the local hospital over ‘high blood pressure’ issue.

However, the case was registered against the ‘Falahari’ Baba under the IPC sections of 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
