Rajasthan: Girl burnt alive for rejecting marriage proposal

In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly burnt alive by a man and his father in Rajasthan’s Banswara district on Sunday.

The incident took place at Isarvla village, which is 20 kilometers away from Banswara district in Rajasthan.

The horrific incident took place after the girl refused her lover’s marriage proposal.

The victim was identified as Seema Yadav by the officials.

The girl was brutally beaten and assaulted in the public by the lover’s family after which kerosene was thrown over her and allegedly set her on fire.

The victim’s father told the reporters, Seema has rejected Ravi’s marriage proposal after which he along with his family assaulted the girl and set her on fire in the village.

It was reported that the girl was rushed to the MB Hospital in Udaipur where she was reported 75% burn on Saturday night.

The accused family was identified as Ravi Yadav the victim’s lover, father Chandu Yadav, and mother Ganga Yadav by the authorities.

Although, Doctors told the officials, the condition of the victim is still critical and the chance of surviving is very less.

Following the incident, the accused and his family was booked on the charges of attempt to murder.
