Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Mohd Shahabuddin shifted to Tihar Jail

On the Supreme Court orders, the criminal-turned-politician Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Mohammad Shahabuddin has been transferred from Bihar’s Siwan jail, Patna to Tihar Jail in New Delhi in the presence of tight security.

On Wednesday the apex court has ordered the transfer of don turned RJD MP from Bihar’s Siwan jail to New Delhi’s Tihar Jail after the widow of Siwan journalist Rajdeo Ranjan.

The 42-year-old Siwan journalist Rajdeo Ranjan was allegedly murdered by the criminal-turned-politician Shahabuddin last year.

Ranjan was reportedly shot dead Phal Mandi near the Siwan Railway Station last year in July which was hardly half a kilometer away from the police station.

However, in the further development, Bihar Government has directed Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to investigate the case.
