Seven Naxalites killed by the Gadchiroli police in an encounter near Jhinganur village, Maharashtra on Wednesday morning.
All the seven bodies have been recovered and brought to Gadchiroli for their identification said, Gadchiroli police
According to the reports, a sudden surge in Naxal activities was accounted in Gadchiroli throughout the most recent 10 days. The left Naxals killed seven individuals, including two policemen and injured five others.
Top police authorities rushed to Gadchiroli and stayed outdoors, there to screen counterinsurgency operations.
The jawans reached the village last night on a tip-off that some Naxals were hiding in the Betkathi jungle area. According to the police, In an intelligence-based operation, the face-off between the Naxals and C-60 Commando force personnel took place in Korchi taluka of the village, situated on the Gondia-Gadchiroli border on Wednesday morning.
