As the cold wind blows, Snowfall has knocked the door of the Himachal Pradesh capital’s Shimla on Tuesday.
The season’s first snowfall was witnessed in Shimla on Tuesday.
It was reported that the mild snowfall was also observed by the tourists in Manali.
An official at the meteorological office said in a statement, “Manali and the hills overlooking it experienced mild to moderate spells of snow and there are chances of more snow till Wednesday”.
Reports said Kalpa was also one of the areas where the season’s first snowfall was experienced which is approx 250 km away from Shimla.
An official said in a statement, “High-altitude areas of Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Mandi, Kullu, Kinnaur and Shimla districts have been experiencing snow since Monday”.
On the other hand, heavy rainfall was observed in the areas which include Solan, Nahan, Bilaspur, Dharamsala, Palampur, Una, Hamirpur, and Mandi.
It was learned that the areas which are considered as a honeymooners’ paradise like Kufri and Narkanda also witnessed mild snowfall overnight.
The Met (India Meteorological Department) has said the weather would dry after Wednesday.
