State Government appointed Girija Vaidyanathan as the New Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu

State Government appointed, Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration, Girija Vaidyanathan as the new Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu by replacing P. Rama Mohana Rao on Thursday.

Girija Vaidyanathan  will also serve as Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner for land Administration, the posts additionally held by P. Rama Mohana Rao.

The news comes just a day after when IT department conducted the IT raid at P. Rama Mohana Rao residence, offices, his son’s residence and all the places related to him.

After completion of raid IT department recovered Rs. 30 lakh cash in new currency and 5 kg of gold was seized from places related to him and his relatives.

There was news about his links with Shekkar Reddy, whose residence and business was also raided by the IT department following this Reddy was detained by police.

Following all this state government decided to dismiss him from the position of Chief Secretary.
