The chief Executive officer (CEO) of a private television channel Mangalam was reportedly arrested on Tuesday for telecasting a sleaze audio clip which leads to the resignation of Kerala Minister AK Saseendra.
The Kerala Police has arrested the CEO of private television channel Mangalam along with five employees of the news channel for broadcasting a sting operation involving a minister in regards to his resignation.
It was reported that Mangalam CEO R Ajit Kumar along with other media personalities was arrested after questioning them for hours, including SV Pradeep, MB Santhosh, Feroz Muhammed, and Jayachandran.
Meanwhile, the Kerala high court supposedly rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the accused on Monday.
However, Kerala police have registered a FIR under the section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 67A of the Information Technology Act after a complaint which was filed by the youth wing of Nationalist Congress Party.
