Supreme Court convicted Sasikala in disproportionate assets case

The Supreme Court convicted AIADMK Chief VK Sasikala along with her three relatives in disproportionate assets case and order four years jail term to them.

Along with jail term, Supreme Court also orders a fine of Rs 10 crore each to Sasikala and other three accused.

The SC bench headed by Justice Pinaki Ghosh and Justice Amitava Roy passed the order on much awaited case.

With this judgment, Sasikala won’t able to contest election for the next 10 years and disqualified to take over as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

Not only this, top court found late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa as the prime accused, but the case against her stands abated after her demise on December 5 last year.

Sasikala said after the verdict “In the past whenever Amma was in crisis I also suffered, this time also I will take it upon me. ‘Dharma will win.”
