In a spine-chilling incident, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a security guard of the school inside the premises of Tagore Public School in Gandhi Nagar area in Delhi.
It was reported that the girl who was studying in class 1 was allegedly raped by a security guard inside the classroom at around 11.45 am.
The 40-year-old security guard was arrested by the police.
Police said the accused used to “pick and drop students” from their homes.
The victim’s father said in a statement, “The girl returned home in a very critical condition and told her mother about the horrific incident. The mother of the girl then informed me and we rushed her to the hospital. After the doctors observing her, they informed me to call the police and to file a FIR in this matter. I’m glad that the police have arrested the accused and would want strict action against him. The school has not yet taken any action on this matter”.
It was learnt that the girl returned to her home and narrated the whole incident to her mother. Following this, her mother took her to the hospital.
An official told the media that the girl is still in the critical condition.
Although, the police officials are still investigating into the matter.
However, Police has registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act).
