Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Rama Mohana Rao’s residence raided by the IT Officials

On Wednesday, Income tax department raided at Tamil Nadu’s Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao’s residence in Anna Nagar, Chennai.

The Raid begins at 5.30 am in the morning and it is still going on, as if now there is no such information found yet related to the seizure of money or gold.

Enforcement directorate officials will be also questioning P. Rama Mohana Rao.

He is alleged of his involvement in conversion of old currency note to the new currency note and it is said that he is linked with the businessman and AIADMK functionary Shekhar Reddy.

Recently, in December, IT department had conducted three -day raid at Shekkar Reddy’s house in which they recovered Rs 154 crore , in which Rs 34 crore was in new currency notes of Rs 2000 and over 167 kg of gold.

However, it is not clear yet that the raid conducted at P. Rama Mohana Rao’s residence is associated with the previous seizures made by the Income Tax Department in Tamil Nadu.
