Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, appointed as the new chairman of Tata sons.
Mr. Chandrasekaran, usually known as Chandra is the third non-Tata, after Nowroji Saklatwala and Cyrus Mistry, to hold this position of the prestigious group. He will be holding a charge as the seventh chairman of Tata groups from February 21.
By profession, Mr. Chandrasekaran is the computer science engineer who started his journey with TCS as a software developer in 1987 and became its one of the youngest CEO in 2009 just at the age of 45 in the history of Tata Group.
On Thursday, a selection committee was set up to select Cyrus Mistry’s successor, unanimously chose Chandra as stated in a Tata Group statement.
TCS is considered as the most profitable company in the group, while talking about its revenues during the leadership of Mr. Chandrasekaran, has increased over 24 percent annually.
