Telangana: 169 residential schools to offer free education

While giving a gift of quality education for the underprivileged sections of society, Telangana state government created a record on Monday by opening 169 residential schools in a day for the students hailing from SC, ST, BC and other minority class.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao congratulated for the big achievement made by the government, and the beginning of KG to PG education for the weaker and backward section children, he said.

It was reported that 169 schools were opened across the state to aim the free quality education focusing SC/ST/BC and minority students.

Half of the residential schools are focusing on the girl’s education to encourage them and to provide them protection and facilities.

However, the government will be spending an average of Rs 1.25 lakh per year for the education for every single student.
