Times Group files complaint against Republic TV owner, Arnab Goswami

In a recent development, Times group has filed a criminal complaint against Arnab Goswami, who was previously associated with the Times Now as the editor-in-chief before launching his own venture Republic TV.

It was learned that the FIR has been filed against the owner of the Republic TV at the Azad Maidan police station in Mumbai.

The company said in a statement, “BCCL owns several intellectual assets in the form of stories, audio-video content, documents, tapes, etc., gathered by its team of reporters and journalists during its news gathering and broadcasting operations”.

The complaint filed by the Times Group alleged the senior journalist that the content which is aired on the Republic TV was previously obtained by Arnab and Prema when he was working with the Times Now.

Meanwhile, responding to the allegations filed by the Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd which owns Times Now, Arnab Goswami said, “It is a David versus Goliath fight.”
