UP CM Yogi Adityanath speaks against triple talaq, compares it to Draupadi’s Haran

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath compares the most controversial triple talaq to Draupadi’s cheer-haran in Hindu epic Mahabharata.

Adityanath’s remark comes at an event to mark the 91st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The priest turned political leader highly condemned the practice of triple talaq called for the common civil code.

Not only this, UP Chief Minister by denoting Chandra Shekhar, said he was also in support of a common civil code.

He also slammed the silence of leaders, as they not doing anything to stop this practice of injustice towards Muslim women.

However, The Supreme Court has been hearing several petitions over demolishing the practice of triple talaq, polygamy and nikah halala in Muslim Community.
