In another incident of train derailments, Seven coaches of Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express reportedly derailed near in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra on Thursday morning.
The incident took place near Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh at around 6:25 am.
The train was coming from Kolkata and was heading towards Jabalpur when it reportedly derailed near Obra Dam in Sonbhadra.
Anil Saxena, the Railway Ministry spokesperson said in a statement, “The accident occurred at around 6:25 am and we have already cleared out the site”.
The train number was discovered as Train number 11448 HWH-JBP when it derailed between Obra and Phaphrakund stations.
It was reported that the train was running at the speed of 40 km/hr.
It was further added, “All passengers were put on the remaining coaches and by 7:28 AM all of them had left the spot. All of them are safe and no one was injured in the accident”.
Although, it was reported as the third incident of the train derailment in the state in less than a month.
Earlier on On August 19, Utkal Express derailed near Muzaffarnagar district in which at least 22 people were killed in the mishap and 156 were reported injured.
However, no casualties have been reported so far.
