Uttar Pradesh: Police asks rape victim for sexual favors in return of action against rapists

In a bone-chilling incident, it was discovered that the police officer in Rampur’s Ganj police station asked the rape victim for sexual favors before he takes any action against the accused.

A 37-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped by two men, went to the police seeking a help but the things become ugly when the savior of the country, who saves the public and helps them becomes one of the accused to traumatize the rape victim who went for a help.

The investigating officer (IO) at a Rampur’s Ganj police station instead of helping the woman takes advantage of the situation and asked her to have sex with him first before he takes any action against them.

While giving statement to a newspaper daily woman quoted, “Whenever I approached SI Jai Prakash Singh seeking arrest of the accused, he would say he first wanted to have sex with me. He even called up on my mobile phone and invited me to visit him in his room alone. When I turned him down, he filed a closure report in the case a fortnight ago”.
