Uttar Pradesh: Three meat shops set on fire in Hathras district

In just 48 hours, the newly elected chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has taken charge of the state under his hands and is all set to reform the UP state.

The police had closed down the illegal slaughterhouse and dozens-odd meat shops in Ghaziabad, UP on Tuesday hours after Yogi Adityanath sworn in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

In a further development, three meat shops were reportedly set on fire by a large crowd of people Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night.

It was reported that three meat shops were set on fire by an unidentified person in the Hathras district, which also created panic within the resident in the area.

Dilip Kumar Srivastava, Superintendent of Police said in a statement, “Unidentified persons set ablaze three shops selling fish and meat. An FIR has been registered against them”.

Adding further to this he said, “We will register a case if someone lodges complain. A police picket has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order situation”.
