On Friday, CBI has summoned Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and asked him to appear on December 26 before it on Monday, over his involvement in CD sting case.

CD sting is carried out by a private news channel in which Mr. Rawat is purportedly seen in negotiating a deal with a middleman to buy the support of the politicians who has revolted against him.

Earlier he was denying his presence in the video, calling it sting as fake, but later on after the inquiry, he accepted that he is in the video.

Sting has been carried out by a private news channel in March 2016. CD has been circulated by nine rebel congress leaders, as these leaders voted against the state budget and therefore a political disturbance create within the party.

Earlier, this year also CBI has summoned Mr Rawat over the same issue.
