Cho Ramaswamy, a veteran journalist, lawyer, political satirist and an actor, passed away at Apollo Hospital in Chennai following heart attack.
A former BJP Rajya Sabha member, Cho Ramaswamy was 82 and had been suffering from prolonged ill health. Last week, he was admitted to the Apollo hospital in Chennai. On Saturday, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of Chennai’s Apollo Hospital after complaining chest pain.
Cho Ramaswamy suffered a heart attack, following this he passed away on Wednesday morning.
Cho Ramaswamy, formally known Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy was founder-editor of the political journal “Thuglak” and he had also acted in number of films and worked with prominent actors like Rajinikanth , Kamal Haasan etc.
He was considered to be one of the closest friend and advisor of the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa.
Just a day before J Jayalalithaa also passed away at Chennai Apollo Hospital.
