Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar hospitalised to Lilavati Hospital

According to the reports, veteran and legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

According to the agencies, the actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra west in morning hours.

Saira Banu told the agencies, “He had swelling in his right leg and we wanted to get it investigated properly. So we took him to the hospital. Also, he undergoes a routine check up every few months and that is being done as well”.

Adding further she said, “He is doing fine…There is nothing to worry. His blood test was done this morning”.

Sources said that the actor told his wife, Saira Banu about the swelling in his leg after that she rushed to the hospital.

The eminent actor will be celebrating his 94th Birthday on December 11.

If reports are to be believed, the actor was previously hospitalized earlier this year due to high fever.

He is also known as tragedy “King of Bollywood” who was born as Yusuf Khan and has done movies like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Naya Daur and many others.  His last appearance on screen was in the movie Qila in 1998.

The renowned actor was also honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.

While, he tweeted on twitter saying, “Feeling much better now. Was admitted to Lilavati hospital for routine checkup. Your prayers are with me.”

Adding further he posted, “A wonderful team of doctors here along with my personal physicians Dr. S.Ghokale, Dr. Nitin Ghokale and Dr. R. Sharma”.
