Vice President Election: BJP chooses Venkaiah Naidu, files nomination

Former Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, was the choice of the NDA for the post of Vice President after which he has filed his nomination for the upcoming Vice-Presidential polls on Tuesday.

NDA vice-presidential candidate and Former Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has filed the nomination papers in the Parliament House in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and MM Joshi.

A source quoted, “Although Naidu was not required to resign technically, he has tendered his resignation to set high political standards as he has entered the electoral fray (for vice presidential position)”.

It was reported that during the BJP Parliamentary board meeting, Union Minister JP Nadda proposed the name of M. Venkaiah Naidu for upcoming Vice President Election.
