Violence in Allahabad: BSP leader shot dead, buses set on fire by supporters

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Rajesh Yadav was allegedly shot dead near Allahabad University’s Tara Chandra Hostel in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

It was reported that the Bahujan Samaj Party leader, Rajesh Yadav was allegedly shot when he was with his friend Dr. Mukul Singh at the Tarachand Hostel of the Allahabad University.

Following the incident, BSP leader was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

It was learned that Rajesh Yadav hails from Duguna village of Bhadohi and has contested Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2017 on BSP ticket.

Following the incident, BSP workers and supporters come down to the streets and started protesting against the BSP leader killing and demand the arrest of the culprits.

It was discovered that the leader sustained injuries on his stomach where he was rushed to a private hospital by his friend.

Allahabad superintendent of police Siddarth Shankar Meena said in a statement, some empty cartridges were found inside Yadav’s vehicle.

Although, the police has registered a case and the investigating to find the accused.

However, the body of the leader was sent to the post-mortem.
