Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her businessman husband Raj Kundra have to face a tough situation after Mumbai police booked duo, in connection with the cheating case with a textile firm owner of Rs 24lakhs.
The complaint was registered by a Mumbai resident Ravi Mohanlal Bhalotia (60), who met businessman Raj Kundra among others two years ago for an online shopping deal.
Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police said in a statement, “FIR has been registered in Bhiwandi police station against Shetty and Kundra under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of IPC”.
The officials told in a statement, “Big Deals, a company in which Shetty and Kundra are directors, collected money from customers for sale of bedsheets on behalf of Malotia Textiles through TV ads, but did not (allegedly) pay Malotia Textiles the proceeds”.
It was reported that the case was registered against five persons as accused which include- Ripu Sudan Kundra, Darshit Shah, Vedant Bali, Uday Kothari.
It seems like the brawl between the Best Deal TV home shopping television channel is becoming worse by each passing day, as the vendors alleged the company has defaulted payments.
On the other hand, breaking the ice on the matter businessman Raj Kundra moved to twitter to express his views about the issue and posted, “It is the duty of the cops registering a case to check contracts and if they had they would not have registered this fake case! #sad!! Sadly It’s so easy to register FIR’s in India, a complete misuse of power by a crooked vendor #bhalotia who owes best deal money! Will counter”.
