Kirti Bhoutika was named winner of the Masterchef India Season 5, the popular TV reality cooking show on Sunday and the first runner up was won by Ashima Arora and the second runner up was given to Dinesh Patel from London.
She scooped the winner’s golden chef coat and 1 crore rupees on Sunday, December 25, 2016.
This year the MasterChef India was based on a theme which says “Not Just a Hobby”. In its finale episode, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha came to announce the winner.
The 20-year-old Kirti Bhoutika who comes from Kolkata is a self-taught cook, a home baker by profession and a student of Nutrition Science, proved herself after surviving 13 weeks in MasterChef India comes out as a winner in the final round.
Kirti is the youngest contestant in the MasterChef India till date.
The four finalists who had to impress the judges with their food win were Dinesh Patel, Kirti Bhoutika, Ashima Arora and Mirvaan Vinayak.
Chef Vikas Khanna said that, “Kirti is the youngest MasterChef India winner till date and has achieved the title over an exceptionally outstanding performance in the thirteen weeks of our show”.
