Overwhelmed, Padmaavat team Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor thanks Akshay Kumar for changing the release date of his upcoming movie, PadMan from January 25 to February 9, leaving Padmaavat to solo release on January 25, 2018.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and lead cast of Padmaavat thanked Akshay Kumar on Friday. Padmaavat stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor shared their gratitude on Twitter.

Despite the green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the protests against Padmaavat continue.

During the press conference, Akshay said, “I was rehearsing for my performance at an upcoming awards show when Sanjay Leela Bhansali came to meet me. He said he is going through a lot of stress and will be in big trouble if Padmaavat will clash with Pad Man. He requested for postponing Pad Man. I have worked with him in two films, and when someone you have worked with requests like this, it is very difficult to say no.”

Actress Deepika Padukone who is playing the title role in the film, expressing her gratitude to Akshay, wrote, “Only from the heart can you touch the sky – Rumi. On behalf of team Padmaavat, a big, big thank you to the team ‘Pad Man’ for your support and generosity!”

Shahid Kapoor, who also plays a key role, tweeted, “Thank you, Akshay Kumar, for being ever so gracious. Can’t wait to see PadMan. Much love and luck.”

Ranveer Singh tweeted, “Big man with a big heart! Akshay Kumar, grateful to you sir, much love and respect.”

Respecting the gesture of the lead actor of Pad Man, Bhansali said, “I will be grateful to Akshay for a lifetime.”
