A FIR was filed against the comedian – actor Kapil Sharma on Wednesday under the environment protection act and Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP) act for allegedly destroying mangroves in Mumbai near Versova area.
According to the reports, FIR was registered against the popular comedian Kapil Sharma for destroying the mangroves and for conducting the illegal construction near his bungalow.
In a statement MNS general secretary, Shalini Thackeray accused Kapil Sharma for making stories and destroying mangroves near his bungalow. She said, “CM Devendra Fadnavis should not support Sharma… We will soon furnish evidence of how he has been breaking municipal rules for his benefit. Sharma is a liar”.
If reports are to be believed then, a local activist Santosh Daundkar also came in the picture for blaming and filling a case against the comedian.
Aditya Pratap, Advocate, who represented the case, said in a statement, “It is obvious that Sharma extended the bungalow illegally in connivance with civic officials. The police need to investigate the bribery aspect”.
This is not the first time comedian-actor is facing the legal difficulty, earlier this year in September he came into the limelight following the controversy, he was asked to pay bribe amount of Rs 5 lakh to the BMC official. Later he connected his difficulty to the Modi government “Ache Din”.
