Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who had confirmed about his relationship with actress Anushka Sharma, tied the knot in Italy on Monday.
Virat and Anushka started dating in 2013 after they met during the filming of a shampoo advertisement. And finally tied the knot in Italy.
A tweet posted on Anushka’s official account read: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
After months of speculations and weeks of making headlines on a daily basis, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli tied the knot with Bollywood actress and longtime girlfriend Anushka Sharma in Milan, Italy today.
Virat and Anushka married according to Hindu rites, said a statement released on behalf of the actress. The wedding venue was a countryside resort in Tuscany where security had been massively stepped up for the nuptials. Entry to the resort was strictly by invitation. A video of what appeared to be wedding preparations being made at the resort went viral over the weekend.

In a statement to the press, Anushka and Virat announced they will be hosting a reception in New Delhi for relatives on December 21, followed by a grand celebration in Mumbai on December 26 to be attended by Bollywood stars and cricketers.
Later, Anushka will accompany Virat to South Africa, where he will prepare for India’s forthcoming tour there which is taking place early next year.
After spending New Year’s Eve together, Anushka will return to Mumbai in the first week of January to resume shooting for a film with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
