Best Fifa Awards 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo named for Best FIFA Men’s Player

Real Madrid star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was named Men’s Player of the Year on Monday at London Palladium theatre on Tuesday.

It was reported that the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo received the award for the second consecutive year.

While announcing the award, fifa.com said, “The second consecutive The Best award comes after a superlative season in which he (Ronaldo) won the Spanish league, the FIFA Club World Cup, and another UEFA Champions League crown – remarkably finishing as the competition’s leading marksman for the fifth straight season”.

The 32-year-old Real Madrid star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2017 FIFA Men’s Player Of The Year.

After receiving the award Cristiano Ronaldo said in a statement, “Thank you for voting for me. I want to mention Leo (Messi) and Neymar to be here. I want to thank Real Madrid for their support all year”.

Lieke Martens was named as the Best FIFA Women’s Player for 2017.

Cristiano Ronaldo said,“I think the last year has been a fantastic season for Juventus and for me personally. It wasn’t enough to win in Europe and for this year I hope that we can play better and with the national team and Juventus”.

The Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane won the best men’s coach award, while the female best coach award went to Netherlands’ Sarina Wiegman.
