Ravindra Jadeja fifer helped India beat Sri Lanka by innings and 53 runs in the second Test in Colombo on Sunday to clinch series. Virat Kohli’s men now won eight Test series on the trot.

Two years ago, when they defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 in a hard-fought contest. Since then, Men in Blue have vanquished every opponent, beating South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand, England, Bangladesh and Australia, with this being their eighth straight series triumph under captain Virat Kohli.

India took a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match series by winning the second Test in Colombo by an innings and 53 runs on Sunday. Sri Lanka were following on and resumed the day on 209 for 2 and 230 runs behind India. Dimuth Karunaratne scored a marvelous hundred however with the SSC pitch disintegrating, Indian spinners were continually threatening. Jadeja got five wickets in the innings, including that of Karunaratne, as India rocked the bowling alley out Sri Lanka for 386 runs.

This was one another top performance from Kohli and his men. Sri Lanka did make a comeback in the second innings but India had batted them out with 622 runs in the first. Series sealed !
