The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League will kick off today at the Wankhede Stadium at 20:00 IST where the defending champions Mumbai Indians will play against Chennai Super Kings in the opener.

IPL, the richest cricket league in the world keeps getting bigger and bigger with each passing edition. It is often compared to the English Premier League in Europe as millions are spent on the players by each franchise.

We have already completed 10 years of the premier league. In the 11th edition, Rajasthan Royals are back apart from CSK after two suspensions for their role in the spot-fixing scandal but fans remain loyal as ever.

It will more spice to the season, RR are the champions of the league in the first edition under Shane Warne. They are under the scanner to perform better following Steve Smith one year suspension due to ball tampering incident.

Warner too will not be able to play for the same for Sunrisers while Chennai will be brightened under Captain Cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiants will no longer be seen.

MS Dhoni’s official CSK anthem was launched yesterday’s and the fans took to Twitter to share their excitement. They also went for a training session with thousands taking on to the streets to get a glimpse of their favorite crickets.

The training session in itself had over 10000 fans buzzing at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium, as shared by the team batsman Kedar Jadhav. CSK also has the best squad to win the title this year.

Good to be back on field after two months 🤗 blessed Thanku so much for all the support 👍
