India’s Mithali Raj shatters World Record, becomes all-time leading run-getter in Women ODIs

India captain Mithali Raj created cricket history during the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 match against Australia. She has become the highest run-scorer in the history of women’s one-day international cricket on Wednesday.

Raj reached 6,028 runs by scoring 69, she surpassed former England skipper Charlotte Edwards’, who has 5992 runs to her name in 191 matches.

Raj, who made her debut in 1999, was playing her 183rd ODI and has scored 6028 runs with the help of five centuries and 49 half-centuries.
