Jelena Ostapenko beats Simona Halep 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, to win the French Open 2017 Women’s Singles final at Roland Garros on Saturday.

Jelena Ostapenko was making an excessive number of unforced errors and that drove her to losing the first set by 6-4 and trailing 0-3 in the second set. But then she comeback strongly.

Ostapenko, positioned 47th, had never won a Tour-level title and was playing in just her eighth Grand Slam.

She is the first unseeded woman to win at Roland Garros since 1933.
