Pakistan entered the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 finals after defeating England by 8 wickets at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Wednesday. Pakistan await the winner of the second semi-final between defending champion India and Underdogs Bangladesh.
Azhar Ali 76 and Fakhar Zaman 57 stupendous knocks to outclass England in the first semi-final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy at Cardiff.
Earlier, England faltered against a disciplined Pakistan bowling attack, Hasan Ali picked up three wickets while Junaid Khan and Rumman Raaes got two wickets. A lot of credit also goes to Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed who rotated his bowlers well.
Put into bat first, England´s batsmen were at the receiving end of some inspired Pakistan bowling as they struggled to get quick runs on a seemingly slow track and end on 211 in 50 overs.
Pakistan reached the ICC Champions Trophy final for a first time.
