Silver Olympic medalist “PV Sindhu” added another success to her timeline by winning the title of China open super series 2016 on Sunday.

Sindhu won the prestigious title of maiden China Open Super Series, after defeating China’s Sun Yu with scores of 21-11, 17-21 and 21-11 in the game that lasted an hour and nine minutes. This is Sindhu’s first title after winning a silver medal at Olympic Games in Rio in August this year.

Sindhu is second Indian woman who achieved this prestigious title after Saina Nehwal. She also became the third non-Chinese athlete to win the china open series. Earlier, Saina Nehwal had also won the China Open in 2014 and reached the final in last year.

This victory left Sindhu speechless, as this is her first super series title. After winning the title she said, “It has been a dream for a long time to win a super series. After the Olympics, everyone was asking me what’s next? It was important for me to get a super series title. Life changed a lot after the Olympics. People thought I will take a long time to get back. But I worked hard”.

Sindhu had also mentioned about her performance in the tournament “I played well. It is a great day for me. I just thought I can give my best, because I practiced hard. I was quite confident. From the first round it was tough”.

After her victorious win from politics to sports everybody wished and congratulated her.
