Risabh Pant innings goes in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Daredevils by a comprehensive nine wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Thursday.
The 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) took place between Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Delhi Daredevils won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, DD scored 187 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Risabh Pant scored unbeaten 128 runs off just 63 balls that included 7 sixes and 15 fours against a tough bowling line-up.

In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Alex Hales quickly but then Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson played a one-sided game as DD had no chance to come back in the game. Dhawan scored unbeaten 92 runs that included nine fours and 4 sixes while Kane Williamson hit 83 runs off 53 balls. He hit two sixes and eight fours. Harshal Patel picked the lone wicket.

In today’s match,
Rajasthan Royals will play Chennai Super Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. CSK needs just one win to qualify for the semi-finals. RR will need to win their remaining matches if they are to qualify for the playoffs. In the last encounter, CSK defeated RR by 64 runs.
