Yuvraj to take career call after 2019

The star Indian all-round cricketer Yuvraj Singh at the World Sports Award revealed that he will continue to play cricket until 2019.

Yuvi is a part of the Kings XI Punjab this season. He will play under the captaincy of Ravichandran Ashwin in the upcoming Indian Premier League. On his presence at the WorldSportst Award, Yuvraj said that he is looking to develop his form in the event to create possibilities of a comeback in the international circuit.

In a statement at the World Sports Award in Monaco, he also added,” Definitely, in the first 6-7 years of my career when I was at my best I did not get a lot of opportunities because there were such great players in the (Test) team and when I got an opportunity I was diagnosed with cancer. So that regret will always be there but these things are never in my control. I am just looking forward to whatever cricket I get to play.”

The 36-year-old star Indian batsman was all praise for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli after team India bounced back to win the limited overs series following their test series loss to South Africa. He also credited the wrist spinners Chahal and Kuldeep for the duo’s excellent performances. Commenting on the Under 19 World Cup win, he went on to say that he expects few of these players to represent in international stage in the coming years.

Yuvraj was a regular team member for India till the 2011 World Cup victory for India. He last played for India in June 2017.

He will be looking to get back in the team India squad ahead of  India’s tour to England starting June this year.
